First offered to the public in 1987, it pioneered the concept of a research-based, developmentally appropriate early childhood music curriculum that strongly emphasizes and facilitates adult involvement.

Music Together® classes build on your child's natural enthusiasm for music and movement. They help you provide your child with the basic musical skills needed to enjoy participation in school and social music activities, and to formally study an instrument should he or she choose to do so. Moreover, the development of musical skills significantly benefits a child's physical, emotional, and intellectual development.

In our mixed age classes we have children newborn to preschool in the same class. This creates a family-like atmosphere where siblings can attend together, and allows each child the freedom to participate as he or she chooses without being burdened by age-specific expectations. Babies under 8 months are free with registered sibling; siblings over 8 months pay reduced fee. Sing, dance, laugh, play and get silly in this unique class setting!

Do infants really benefit?
Yes! Infants’ participation will seem passive at first, as they actively absorb what they are seeing, hearing and feeling. Caregivers will learn to recognize their infants’ musical responses and observe them reaching musical milestones. As their bodies and nervous systems mature, the infants often show progressively more complex musical responses and evidence of song recognition. Parents will learn in class how to enhance their child’s music development and how to create and enhance the musical bond with their child. Infants are welcome in any class and are free, under 8 months old, when attending with a registered sibling.
